This doll is perfectly beautiful. I love Barbie. I think this doll deserves to be a princess. Also, Anneliese and Erika's duet is beautiful. The two dolls are fabulous! I have over 20 Barbie dolls, and this doll is one of them. She comes with a cute little cat, a mirror, a perfume bottle for when Anneliese needs to smell extra pretty, and a hairbrush. She even comes to you with a minty smell in her hair. I think she is one of the best dolls ever! She is durable, beautiful, royal, and for every girl around the world!! My daughter received this Barbie doll for Christmas along with Erica two years ago and both dolls are still going strong. They both have voice tracks which are still working, they are both in great shape, even though their hair and gowns have taken a beating. Unfortunately after two years of changing and exchanging gowns, the bodices are now ripping apart (They have already been sewn once). The loss of the gowns are the reason the rating is 4 stars instead of five. Aside from that, it is one of the nicest, if not THE nicest of their video tie-in products.

Paid 50c for her and 50c for a generic knockoff doll who was wearing her original dress ! I am amazed at how lovely this doll is - she still sings beautifully, and her dress has only a minor tear in the tulle on the left elbow, and some slight Velcro snagging in the back. Her hair was still mostly in the factory set, and brushed out, waved prettily down her back. The hair is high-quality - not that cotton-candy-like stuff - and her facial screening is as fresh as spring.

For a doll to survive a child's attentions and end up in a yard sale - and still be gorgeous enough with five minutes of hairbrushing and redressing that I researched her original look... not many dolls retain their beauty (much less their batteries !) through all that. She'll have a place of honor in this 41-year-old's collection ! I heartily recommend this stunning doll - especially if you can find her for pocket change at a yard sale !

The doll itself is wonderful. The hair has matted less than the other barbies we have. The batteries *still* haven't died (10 months later!)


The dress, though. The dress has fallen apart. It wasn't even played with that much, as it was taken off almost immediately so the girls could get to the button on the back to play the song over (and over and over). The dress is falling apart at the seams.

We also hunted down the wedding set, and the white wedding dress is doing the same thing. So, don't buy the doll for the dress!

It came and it never worked...
It came but it never worked. The skirt was supposed to puff up while it sang. The skirt puffed up but fell back down, and it never sang.

Daughter didn't love it.....
We recieved this doll and my daughter wanted to make her sing and change her dress around... but the batteries are dead and she can't. I've been to 3 stores looking for the batteries and they don't have them or they aren't in stock. But after paying for a Barbie Doll, I do not think I should have to shell out another to to buy batteries to make the doll actually work. Not pleased and neither is my daughter.

Doll not as described...
I received this item on time. However, the Liana Barbie doll described on the website is not the one I received. Because I paid .50 for this doll, I assumed it would be the Liana doll which sang and changed costumes. This was the one my granddaughter wanted.
What arrived was a plain doll which did neither of the above activities. Even more interesting was the fact that there was a plain white sticker on the box, which, when removed, revealed another sticker with .00 on it.
To be honest, the description does not mention "singing" but it definitely mentions the costume change AND shows pictures of how this happens. And I believe that the 2 features would go together.
Needless to say, my granddaughter was very disappointed which made me feel badly too. I also feel cheated when I think of how much I paid for the plain version of the doll. Be careful ordering this doll!!

I was disappointed....
My niece desperately wanted this doll for her birthday because it sings, however, when I received the item the batteries were dead. I was very disappointed. I replaced the batteries and the doll worked,however, I paid over .00 for the item and found it 2 days later at a discount store for .00. EXTREMELY disappointed!!

does not light up...
My grand daughter has been asking for this doll for a long time. when she received it, she was very excited. sadly ,it did not work. I ordered another, and the second one did not work. Possibly, it is the battery,which is .00.

Most of Skipper's first friends were never seen after the lines they were produced for, but another Skooter doll, called Fun Time Skooter, was produced for the European market. She had auburn hair, a Twist N' Turn waist, and bendable legs. However, she had the head mold of the oldest version of Skipper, not the older Skooter doll, which many collectors found strange.
Skipper's friend for the controveral Growing Up line was the brunette Ginger, made in 1976. However, after this line, Ginger was never seen again. Skipper's first boyfriend, who was named Scott, was created in 1980, and was introduced the year after Super Teen Skipper came on the market. Scott sported puffy brown 1980s style hair. Skipper gained two new friends after Teen Fun Skipper was first introduced. They included the brunette Courtney, made in 1989, and her second boyfriend Kevin, created in 1990.
After Teen Skipper came on the market, her first African American friend appeared. Her name was Nikki, and she was made in 1997.
